Draft for review. This statement describes the website as built, but DESTINO has not yet approved it. Information about physical access at the venue has not been confirmed and is not included.

We want everyone to be able to find out what's on, plan a night and reserve a table at Destino, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement explains what we've done, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us about a problem.

1.Our aim

We design and build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We haven't had it independently audited yet, so we don't claim full conformance.

2.What we've built in

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link at the top.
  • Headings, landmarks and lists are marked up properly, and the page language is set, so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Photos have text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and buttons meet colour-contrast requirements on our dark background, and buttons are large enough to tap easily.
  • Pages reflow to a narrow phone screen (320 pixels wide) without sideways scrolling, and text can be enlarged in your browser.
  • Animations are reduced or switched off if you've asked your device to reduce motion.
  • The reservation form has visible labels, says which fields are optional, lists any errors at the top with links to each field, and never relies on colour alone.
  • Pop-up panels and the photo viewer can be closed with the Escape key and return you to where you were.
  • Dates and times are written out in full, and event status (Tonight, Upcoming, Past) is shown in words.

3.How we've checked

Every page has been tested with automated accessibility checks (Google Lighthouse, scoring 100 for accessibility), and by hand with a keyboard and at phone and desktop sizes. We last checked on the date at the top of this page and check again whenever a page changes.

4.Known limitations

  • We haven't yet tested the site with people who use screen readers or other assistive technology. We'd welcome feedback.
  • The Google map on our Visit page is provided by Google, and we can't control its accessibility. The address and direction links next to it work without the map.
  • Instagram, WhatsApp and Google Maps are separate services with their own accessibility.
  • Some event posters are images. The event details are always written out on the page as well.
